Did these muffins some time ago. Recipes courtesy of @Cari.com...and since that it has been ages ago, can't remember whose recipes that I took. Somehow, am not satisfied with chocolate chips muffins though, tak merekah lah muffin ni....

Benar kata cokelat. Berik2lah dgn kamek org sitok. Rajinnya kitak. Mun kamek dah sik terkaber. Kismis, mentega, telur, tepung ada tapi cup ya sikda.

Tqs for dropping by. Jangkak rajin, cam tok lahnya abis nok dalam kamera dirugak...tok tgh malas ..tp ada plan nak molah muffin agik, rumah kamek org muffin polah mek riya nang sekali duduk jak..x da nunggu esok2 agik.

Kamek belum sempat molah gik. Ingat nak molah rock buns jak. Dah tgh bayar posa tok. Sengsara nyawa kamek tok eh. Hehehhhh.....

I love Congo Bars @ Blondies than Brownies actually though I baked more Brownies than Congo Bars.  I must admit, I have only tried around 2 - 3 Cong Bars recipes and I have decided to stick to the one from  http://kitchenguardian.blogspot.com/2015/02/being-true-to-yourself-lets-bake-congo.html   This recipe is a keeper and never failed to get repeat orders from my customers. So I baked this Congo Bars last week,  a bit overbaked though but still delicious. I just dumped all the left-overs from Raya Haji baking to come up with this Nutty Chocolatey Congo Bars. Yumm!!!

Bahasa Melano Balingian

My trip to Miri not only gave me the opportunity to reunite with old friends that I missed dearly but I also took the golden opportunity to learn more about my dad's language. My dad is a Melanau from Kpg Suyong, Balingian. Their melanau dialect differs from the rest of the Melanau dialects from Mukah, Oya, Rejang, Dalat, Matu, Igan & Bintulu. Sad to say that this particular dialect is slowly disappearing. Even my aunt Regina or fondly known as Usu Ina who is married to a melanau from Bintulu is at loss with her own Balingian dialect at times. So far, I've noticed that only my dad, my first cousins Lai & Kak Senah are still speaking this beautiful dialect fluently. Usu Ina converse mostly in the Mukah dialect and I observed that she would refer to Lai if she was not sure of the language itself. My dad and his siblings back in Balingian still converse in their own dialect but once they are out of their kampung, they would converse in the Mukah dialect again. Mmmmmmmmmmm....
