Campus was buzzing with a hype of activities the last 3 weeks.  First it was the SUKBOM(Sukan Bomba satu Malaysia), of course we were not involved but  all the participants were staying in our campus since it was already the  semester holidays.  Well, with one of the best sports facilities around now, the university has been chosen to house the Sarawak athletes during their pre-SUKMA training a few months ago. Majlis Anugerah Gemilang UNIMAS(MAGU 2012) Majlis Perbarisan Tamat Latihan dan Penyampaian Sijil Kor SUKSIS IPTA Semalaysia Kali Ke-8 2012    So, there goes my 2 weekends. But alhamdulillah, everything went well especially the ones with SUKSIS though it was dead stressful the whole session.  Nope, am not going into details.  Let that be our "sweet memories" .   We were already on duty from 6:30 am till 10:30pm.  But when people appreciate your effort, all hiccups were already forgotten. We were glad it was over ...

Awal pagi aku dikejutkan dengan berita kematian rakan sekampus ku. Kamek duak dolok satu office di Canselori dari tahun 2002 hingga 2008, selepas ya aruah berpindah ke Bahagian Aset. Allahyarham Muliadi bin Sunip berusia 36 tahun meninggal dunia dalam satu kejadian ngeri dimana aruah dipercayai terperangkap dalam keretanya apabila keretanya telah meletup dan terbakar di kawasan kampungnya di Kampung Baru, Samarahan pada awal pagi 7 Ogos 2011 bersamaan dengan 7 Ramadhan 1432H. Rasa macam berbulak jak bila nerimak berita kematiannya pagi tadi.  And I can't still forget about it till now.  Sedih aku sebagai kawan siklah sama dengan kesedihan anak-anak dan bininya.  Aruah meninggalkan 3 orang anak-anak yang masih kecil, yang bongsu baru 10 bulan dan bininya seorang surirumahtangga.  Banyak kenangan pahit manis sewaktu bekerja sama dengan aruah dolok. Tapi biarlah segalanya menjadi kenangan manis bagi kamek orang yang pernah bekerja sama dengan...

The very first question that people will always ask you when your boss is transferred away is "Äre you following him?"..seriously?!!! I've been a secretary for the last 20 years and it never happened so far. I am not belittling my own profession here but at times I do wonder, is it necessary for the secretary to follow the boss whenever he or she is transferred? Frankly, I don't see the need for it cos imo our position is not that critical. Some may disagree but where I come from, this kind of thing is a no, no, no, peeps. I've been working in a bank, then an IT consultancy firm(both private sectors) and now with the government, I have yet to see this thing happening to me yet. However, I know that some of my friends working in the state government has gone through this. I remembered that I used to call her  and after a lapse of many years,  I managed to contact her again for one of the reunions previously and she is still with the same boss since graduating from...

I am extremely busy with the booking of flights and hotels for the lecturers travelling to monitor our students undergoing industrial training at designated offices throughout the country. Rasa kedak kaunter tiket MAS, Airasia duak Firefly juak eh. Ya baruk sikit, berapa orang jak lecturer compared to those being attended by those travel agents...Perasan sekejap jak bah...LOL!  Been making calls after calls,   jangan ingat orang yang bertelefon yang sik kepak..kepak aih, kepak berkelakar and making enquiries here and there. Sometimes, some people overlook and think that relak jak kerja bertalipon ya.....last-last kelak madah orang sik da kerja lain, bertalipon ajak. Happy secretaries week to my fellow secretaries. Be it Secretary, Personal Assistant, Confidential Secretary, Confidential Stenographer, Pembantu Tadbir (Kesetiausahaan) or Setiausaha Pejabat, in general we have the same job description yáll (forget the slang ya, dah lamak ada astro beyond di rumah, suka gilak nanga program masakan Paula Deen...those of you yang ada astro beyond pahamlah kan...her southern slang siap dengan sengongnya ya) This is the general picture of a secretary, in case soooooome of you might not know...hehehe, ada2 jak kan.. It's Monday!!!!!Yeahhh!..what can I say, first2 thing eh, I had to iron 3 baju awal pagi tadik, reason being, the first two tops were white and I didn't notice the yellow smudges on both tops. By the time I wore the 3rd top, it was already 7 am. Still, I manage to calm myself tho getting a lil panicky already. I simply hate to face the jam around that time tho am driving an auto car. However, I was happy that I arrived before 8, about 0740am to be exact.Must be laju kan, kata kawanku tadik...entahlah deng, sik pian gik nanga meter ku ya... Phew!... Once I reached the office, all the 3 bosses were in. Wah!...p sik hal la nak, I came before 8. Then, it struck me, two of my colleagues are on leave and that meant I'll be serving 3 bosses today. Mmmmmmmm...kak ya?..dah kerja nak..polah jak lah, tp alhamdulillah all 3 were very nice except for a few occasional enquiries and instructions from my own immediate boss..the rest was history and manageable. Yah, sekali maok nak, belalak sa nya ku mengupdate blog aku yg kurang meriah tok, sikhal lah janji dah lepas rasa seksa di dada ku geram nanga n maca blog org lain yg antap2 ya... Tok tek kiranya one of our annual activities di sitok...kedong kamek org yang doloknya digelar sebagai Pembantu Tadbir (Kesetiausahaan) ditukar lantik ke Setiausha Pejabat effective January 2010. Sort of a treat for dikpun. Alhamdulillah, sidak travel agent yang setia ngan kamek org sponsor door gift, thank you ITC. Kelak merik agik ah...ada sigek gik progam bulan 10 kelak, insyallah. Sik semua yang datang masa luncheon ya due to some prior commitments yang lain, but still kamek orang gohet jak, dah duak kali cancel sebenarnya tapi dah malas nak nundak agik program ya ke waktu lain, polah ajaklah. Tapi oklah nak, semadi nadai kata urghang. Gikpun semua dapat door gift ya, samada yang datang & sik datang. Hopefully next round, yang lain akan dapat join. Assalamualaikum to my dear blog. Hi and hello!...It's been so long or rather almost 8 months of not updating my blog. I was here and there and running around with 'things' that seem to block my interest from updating plus my health condition seems to subside for a while. Muahahaa...am I talking in riddles already?...aiayayayayayayayyayaya...mamamia....!!!I just can't figure what to type for the title. For one, I'm hurt. I've been hurt before but today I really felt the pain, not that painful though, just a slight twinge and ache at the one soft spot in my heart. Oh well, I'm sure, as always I can get over the pain. It's been nearly 2 months since I was transfered back to the faculty and it sure does feel damn good here. I am back to serving students again and soon with the opening of the new semester, will see some more freshies for the university. I'm expecting myself busy then and I am looking forward to that.

These were some of the pictures taken during our Ramah Tamah last week. We had loads and loads delicious spread of delicacies plus some entertainment from staff and students.
